Web 2.0 Applications

My experience with Glogster was tricky. Even with watching the videos, I didn't understand how to use it at first.  After a few trial and error moments, I started to understand. At this point, I'm not sure that I would use it again.

My Google Doc!

Making a Google doc was very easy!! I have made these before and definitely intend on making them again. It's a GREAT resource for anyone and so easily accessible!

Before today, I had never heard of Google Reader or RSS feeds... I had seen it before but I had no idea what it was for! I can't wait to be able to show my students how to use reader for the classroom so they can stay up to date with news, sports, cooking, style, and all of their other interests just by clicking on one tab! I started adding some of my favorite baking bloggers and am having a hard time staying away from google! Thanks!

My Wiki was already made because we were required to make them through my school! Making a Wiki is SO easy and I would recommend it to anyone. I'm already starting to use it with my students- even though it definitely needs a lot more work! I'm planning on using it next semester so that my students can go on my wiki page and check for announcements, homework assignments, contact information, project details, etc.

Through the Years was my first video made on Edmodo. I loved it!!! I will definitely use Edmodo again. The video is great and I think it puts a great emotional connection to the pictures. I think this would be a great tool to use for a banquet slideshow or at the end of the year with my students. I can't wait to show them how easy it is!

The other Web 2.0 Application that I used was 19Pencils. It is so cool! I love that I can see favorites from other people directly from my school. I also like that I can make and post assignments there for my students to see. There are so many great resources available on this site. I can also find other websites to post for them to look at, as well as post the widget to the blog that I created for them so that I can direct them straight to the 19Pencils site! That is super convenient and so great for my students!
